About the band...
Probably no other zydeco muscian from Louisiana has played more Northeast dances than Roy Carrier. Clearly as one of the originators of zydeco, Roy is one the of few elderstatesmen of zydeco after the passing of Boozoo Chavis. Leroy Thomas was born in Lake Charles, LA into a very musical family. His famous father, Leo, is one of the most famous zydeco drummers. Leroy picked up the drums at age 8, and soon progressed to the accordion, and he has barely stopped since. Leroy is a real showman, and puts on a high level show. Zydeco's infectious accordion and rubboard driven-party-all-night sound that was born in the bayou and dance halls of SW Louiaiana can now be heard at Connollys & throughout the world.
Advance tickets not needed -- pay at the door, everyone will get in. Connolly's has a tasty and reasonably priced dinner menu, a full bar, and a beautiful sprung wooden dance floor.
